We love, love, love Galos. From the moment we walked in we were greeted like old friends. Everyone has big smiles and a warm, friendly greeting. Very helpful and informative staff.
The food was cooked to perfection and there are very generous portion sizes for a reasonable price. We ate there several times during our stay in Luz and loved it more each time.
We hope to see you again another time.

Affordable & tasty food ! The owner Fatima is so friendly and welcome guests with a big smile and very down to earth person . The staff were lovely, the food was delicious, the portion sizes were perfect and the homemade chocolate mousse was delicious!
Kids were happy, parents were happy!
We were made to feel very welcome. Highly recommend! We will be back again next year!
They also have a takeaway option, j would recommend making a reservation if wanting to eat in.

So let's be clear if you're looking for a fine dining experience this is not it. However if you're looking for authentic Portuguese barbecue look no further.
Eat in or takeaway I can recommend the piri piri chicken, we ate so it came with fries and salad.
Drinks selection is limited to house wine, red, white and rose and bottle beer plus the usual soft drinks.
We had the house red and for the money it was excellent.
The service was incredibly friendly, whilst we were there a couple ordered takeaway and were waiting outside with a drink, a table was brought outside especially so they could put their glasses on it. So often it's the little things that make the difference.- Comida

Delicious food – based on the many recommendations, I chose the piri-piri chicken and was not disappointed – very tasty! The restaurant has a very homely feel, and the service is extremely warm and friendly! I will definitely be back.

We were given very generous portions my hubby had fish and chips with two large pieces of fish . Grill meats all moist and tasty as plain or spicy as you want . Take outs are just as tasty . Well worth a couple of visits .xx

Loved this place! Family owned and the atmosphere is so jovial and positive! The best but really the Best chicken Piri Piri in Portugal that I have tasted and we’ve been to other regions! Wine is also good and super sheap! You got to eat here, seriously! Wonderful staff, kind and smiling:) . I will come back tmr and i am serious! 😁

What a great meal for an awesome price. We visited Galos twice during our stay and would highly recommend the Peri Peri Chicken plate. Our server, Fatima, was delightful, her positive attitude and huge laugh was contagious. What a wonderful experience!

Best place in Luz for traditional Portuguese chicken, amongst other things. The owners are super welcoming, the food great, with decent portions, and the prices equally appealing (including for takeaway). My kids also rate Galo's as their favourite!

Take away 2 portions of chicken, 2 portions of ribs with BBQ sauce and chips for 38 euros. Really generous amount of food for 4 adults. Chicken was delicious and ribs very tender. Incredible value for such nice food. Really friendly staff. Will be back.

Delicous food and pleasant service. You have to try the spicy chicken. The fish might taste salty if you are not used to it. In this case let them know in advance (: We would definitely come back again.

Great meal for a great price. The Piri Piri there is soooo good. You can tell its made in house and it is delicious. The Piri Piri chicken was so good as well as the fries and a salad. If you want a tasty dinner with a chill vibe go grab a big beer and some chicken at galos and you will leave happy and full.
